Capt Veera Raja Reddy



About Late Capt. Rapolu Veera Raja Reddy.

Twenty-five year old Capt. R.V.R Reddy joined the National Defence Academy in 1994. He was commissioned into the 69 Field Regiment of the Artillery Division and later promoted as the commander of the Ghatak Platoon. Capt Reddy died on July 31, 2002 as he lead his troops in an operation against terrorists holed up in a V.I.P. Residential complex in Rajouri District, Jammu and Kashmir. Operation Parakram was a success.
